Ok, so it has happened...we had the talk with our 4 year old! Well, not "the" talk, but a talk! We had to have a family discussion with Skyler about (snicker, snicker) kissing girls!
I came across some interesting information the other day when I overheard one of the teens in our neighborhood telling someone else about something Skyler did. He said that Skyler was over at the neighbor's house playing with their 3 year old little girl and her cousin. I guess that Skyler had one arm around each of them and kissed them both! The teen that I overheard talking said that he thought it was awesome, except when I asked him about it, his wording was "oh crap, I didn't know Skyler's mom was right there!" I thought it was funny.
Kyle talked to our neighbors and I guess that their little girl, Sarah, told her dad the other night that she couldn't kiss him anymore because she only kissed one boy...Skyler! I don't think that this made him too happy! They said that she is rather smitten with him! I still think that it is hilarious though!
So, we had a talk with Skyler in which he told us with lots of giggles that Sarah liked to kiss him. He also said that you shouldn't kiss friends though because you will get germs and get sick! It was a good thing that he was sitting in my lap during the talk because I was cracking up behind him the whole time!
He now knows that we don't kiss friends!

4th of July Weekend
We had a fun July 4th weekend. Kyle's mom, Kathy and her husband Chuck came up to visit us. We were just their first stop on a long 3 week vacation that they are doing that will take them up into Canada and back down again. When they left on Monday I was really tempted to stow away in their car with them!

Granny wanted to celebrate Skyler's birthday while she was up here, so Skyler made out like a bandit! His actual birthday is on August 13th, but it is fun for Granny to be able to celebrate with him. I don't think that he minded! Even Ethan got a little something! Ethan's gifts were Lightning McQueen themed and he has had to sleep with his cars every night since!
We had a barbecue at Jeff and Sara's on the 4th. We filled up water balloons and played water balloon volleyball, which ended in a water fight ofcourse. It was everyone against Kyle! Despite the odds, Kyle still won!
We went up to BYU campus to watch the fireworks. We had Tristan and Talon with us because Jeff and Sara were in the stadium with the rest of the kids. Adrianne and Aspen danced in the show again this year which was especially cool since Miley Cyrus was there!!! (Jaden has a crush on her! Sara told me that he got up the morning of the 4th and took extra time getting ready and even put on a sweater! When Sara asked him why he was wearing a sweater in the middle of summer he said that it was the best looking thing he had and he wanted to impress Miley! Cute huh?)

Ethan was afraid of the fireworks at first and kept saying "doo 'cary" which is "too scary." He finally decided he liked them though and had tons of fun.
Kyle's Mom wanted a pic of us all dressed for church. She thought that the boys were adorable in their little outfits!

Grandpa Chuck made a train with the boys! Choo, choo!

Kyle and I have a good friend with lots of fun "toys". This is one of them, a Lotus Elise. Chuck is big into cars so we decided to take it out for a spin. The thing is miniature! This was a fun time for all of the boys, young and old!Grandpa Chuck made a train with the boys! Choo, choo!
