Easter
We spent Easter weekend at Jeff and Sara's house. Saturday was rainy all day, so we ended up cramming the baskets and the egg hunt into one day! Skyler helped Ethan find his basket right away! What a sweet big brother!
Then it was Skyler's turn! And the Easter bunny hid his a little harder (or in this case, "Mrs" Easter bunny)! And ofcourse once they had their baskets, he and Ethan dug right into the candy!

And just because the kids hadn't had enough sugar already, we started the Easter Egg Hunt! Rob and Nichole and their kids, plus some of my brother's neighbors also came over and did it with us! Here is Skyler waiting impatiently at the door!

and yes, I surprised myself by managing to lift that big lug up there! That is one solid little boy! And it was worth it, just look at his cute expression!
"Mr" Easter Bunny got sneaky when hiding some of these eggs! Poor Aspen!
And we topped the night off with my birthday dessert, fruit pizza! Yummy! Look, only 3 candles! I suppose they didn't want to ignite the dessert with 30!

The Big 30!
My amazing husband Kyle and little 'ol me.
I have hit the big 30 now, and my husband isn't letting me forget it. I am precisely 25 days older than he is, and so he is milking this for all he can! Oh well.
Despite having to turn 30, I had a great birthday, which was celebrated on Saturday. Kyle surprised me by taking me out to dinner. I honestly thought that my birthday would slip under the radar this year since it fell on Easter Sunday, so I was caught off guard when I was told we were heading to Carrabas for a birthday dinner. I am a bit of a nerd for not figuring it out, especially because we were at Jeff and Sara's all day and were supposed to be eating at Jeff's that night, however Jeff couldn't seem to remember that he was supposed to be making dinner that night, and I had to remind him several times. I have no idea why this didn't clue me in. Then I was even more retarded when we arrived at the restaurant and some of our good friends Shauna and Darlene were there and gave me a big hug when I walked in the door. Shauna even said "Happy Birthday"! and I was standing there thinking, "oh wow! how fun to run into them! and man, she has a great memory! How in the world did she remember my birthday?" I know, duh right? Well, clueless here didn't figure it out until Shauna actually had to inform me, "Julie we came here to see you!" Anyways, I guess that the best time to try and surprise me is when I am pregnant because I am just so clueless it is silly!
This is a pic of my brother Jeff and I
and here is Jeff with his beautiful wife Sara! he was trying to make a goofy face or something!
these are our wonderful friends Brent and Darlene Hatch, two of the most amazing people I have ever met before and two people we dearly miss from down in Spanish Fork!
It was so great to see Shauna and Chad Jones! I could hardly even tell that Shauna was due in June!
Ok, so I have no idea why there is a pic of Nichole with Brent Hatch, but not with her husband Rob. I was not in charge of the picture taking! Rob and Nichole are some of our best friends that we miss terribly since leaving Spanish Fork!
Ethan's 3rd Birthday!
Ok, so this is way overdue since his birthday was on April 2nd, but here it is!

Then we went back to the house and all helped decorate the "Lightning McQueen" birthday cake! Ethan topped it off with sprinkles galore and then the boys dug in! It was a wonderful day!

This is my cute Ethan Cole, and he is getting so big, so fast! I keep telling him to stop growing, but he doesn't listen! We made his birthday a "family day" this year and I think that we will stick to that tradition. First we went to the movies and saw Monsters vs Aliens! Ethan loved it! And don't you just love the large spot of road rash he has on his head for all the pics?! Lovely huh?
Then we went to a restaurant for dinner and opened his presents there. Ofcourse he didn't eat anything except his birthday ice cream, since he was too engrossed by the presents!
