Dino Tracks

We had tons of fun going to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point on Saturday with our awesome friends the Jones' and the Hatch's! We started off the day in the movie theatre, however Skyler didn't make it in with us which sent me on a frantic (and embarrasing) search. I found him in the gift shop, staring in awe at the walls of dinosaur stuff! Here are some pics of our fun time!

Skyler's Preschool Graduation

Skyler has officially graduated from Preschool! His little ceremony was tons of fun to watch, mostly because he was by far the most entertaining child up there! And that isn't just my opinion! We had several parents coming up to us afterwards making comments like, "Skyler must be lots of fun with all that energy", and "you should get him into some acting classes because he is a natural up there!" So, to paint the picture for you, the festivities began with the kids coming in to show us their karate demonstration. Then the kids came out in their graduation gowns and demonstrated some of the things that they have learned over the year like their alphabet names and sounds, counting to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's, their vowels, reading small words, etc. Then they sang songs, and Skyler was the loudest- shouting rather than really singing! When he did something funny that made the audience laugh, he would do it again and again to see if people would laugh some more. It is just scary how much he is like his Daddy!

Dance Recital

I used to daydream about sitting in the audience and watching as my adorable little child came out on stage in a cute costume and danced to a fun song! Finally, my dream came true...but with one big difference...in my daydream it was my little GIRL, not my little BOY! :) But look at how cute he is!

Ok, so Skyler went and got pics with his class and they were all smiling really cute while the photographer took the shots. Then, for the last pic the photographer asked all of the kids to "do a big group hug pic" so "put your arms around the person next to you." Skyler didn't move for a minute and looked like he was thinking hard about this. All the other kids hugged each other, then Skyler started moving and hugged.........himself! He wrapped his arms around himself and smiled really big! Oh, I died laughing and his teacher did too! Maybe it was because he was next to a girl? I don't know! So needless to say, I am excited to get a copy of that pic!

Skyler went to preschool at CenterStage Performing Arts school, and along with the regular academics, he also had classes in dance, music and karate! So I got to go and watch Skyler's dance recital in which he dressed up as the cat in the hat and "shaked his booty" as he calls it! He was so stinkin' cute! He remembered almost all of the dance moves, which was more than most of the boys in his class! He was even singing the song as he danced! He was so cute and everytime I told him how proud I was of him and what a good job he did, he would just laugh and say "I know!"

Skyler is the one with his hands up! They were supposed to be saying

"Surprise! The cat in the hat is here!"

He has his preschool graduation on Friday this week which will also be a small music performance and a karate demonstration! So I will post those pics soon!

Skyler's "Big Boy" Bed

I actually think that this is a more momentous occasion for me than for Skyler...or at least I think that I am more excited about it than he is! But he finally has a big boy bed, and (8 months after we moved in) I finally got their bedroom put together! They have had to survive in a very boring room for a long time, but it is done! Ethan was so cute when he saw his Cars bedding! He kept saying "Yay!" and gave it hugs and kisses!

Kite Flying

Skyler has been asking to go and fly kites, and finally it was a wonderful day to go! Skyler has the Optimus Prime kite, while Ethan's is Bumble Bee, which I just love hearing him say! We had tons of fun!
