Dance Recital

I used to daydream about sitting in the audience and watching as my adorable little child came out on stage in a cute costume and danced to a fun song! Finally, my dream came true...but with one big difference...in my daydream it was my little GIRL, not my little BOY! :) But look at how cute he is!

Ok, so Skyler went and got pics with his class and they were all smiling really cute while the photographer took the shots. Then, for the last pic the photographer asked all of the kids to "do a big group hug pic" so "put your arms around the person next to you." Skyler didn't move for a minute and looked like he was thinking hard about this. All the other kids hugged each other, then Skyler started moving and hugged.........himself! He wrapped his arms around himself and smiled really big! Oh, I died laughing and his teacher did too! Maybe it was because he was next to a girl? I don't know! So needless to say, I am excited to get a copy of that pic!

Skyler went to preschool at CenterStage Performing Arts school, and along with the regular academics, he also had classes in dance, music and karate! So I got to go and watch Skyler's dance recital in which he dressed up as the cat in the hat and "shaked his booty" as he calls it! He was so stinkin' cute! He remembered almost all of the dance moves, which was more than most of the boys in his class! He was even singing the song as he danced! He was so cute and everytime I told him how proud I was of him and what a good job he did, he would just laugh and say "I know!"

Skyler is the one with his hands up! They were supposed to be saying

"Surprise! The cat in the hat is here!"

He has his preschool graduation on Friday this week which will also be a small music performance and a karate demonstration! So I will post those pics soon!

He is seriously one of the cutest kids. I love how entertaining he is. He could put on a show all by himself.
