1. When I first met Kyle he had the worst haircut in the world. It was like a spiky Afro and because his hair is thin, it looked like he was balding because you could see right down to his scalp. If it wasn't for how much fun I had talking to him, I don't think we would have ended up together! So... I ran into this inward dilemma because after going out several times, I really started liking him...but I hated his hair and was having a terrible time seeing past it. So, I did as I was taught in church, "say a prayer when you don't know what else to do"!!! (this shows you can pray for whatever you want and Heavenly Father still listens and cares because it matters to us) Well, I began praying that Kyle would get a new haircut and style! (and let me say that these were "fervent" prayers) After only a week or two of praying like this, Kyle went on a trip to visit some families from his mission and when he came back, he had new hair!!! Apparently one of his mission moms was inspired that his hair needed some help so she began cutting! (not that it would really take much "inspiration" to see that he desperately needed hair help) Wow, it made a huge difference! So, thank heavens for answered prayers!
2. I have this odd thing about feet. I really can't stand anyone's feet touching me. If Kyle's feet touch me while we are in bed, I will automatically kick his feet away, it is just a reflex reaction. Ofcourse, he doesn't seem to appreciate that my reflex reaction is often quite "forceful" and I have been known to do it in my sleep and wake him up in the process!
3. Something I am passionate about...
I love writing children's books. I have had one published a few years ago and I have another story currently in the final stages before it goes to print. I am really excited about this one because it is part of collection that I am working on with several other people that will focus on teaching children correct principles for living happy lives! My goals, along with members of our company called Radiant Lives, is to raise kids with the tools and understanding be happy and quite frankly to try and counteract alot of the negative that the world is teaching our kids today!
My next book is called "Mr. McTeeze and His Mighty Fine Hats" and teaches about a crazy hat-maker that learns how to use his talents to create happiness for others, and in so doing finds the greatest happiness for himself. I have several other stories that are finished and are in the hands of artists who are creating the artwork to go with it.
4. I am rather obsessed with cookies and milk and I have some almost every night before bed. A funny thing, though, is that I prefer store bought cookies for my nightly ritual. I don't know why, I just do. Though I absolutely love homemade cookies and especially cookie dough. I also love pajamas and would be in them all the time if I thought I could get away with it.
5. I am a morning person. I am often out of commission by 9 or 10 at night! And I am not really a sane person at night, I just can't think straight most of the time. However, I am much better in the morning.
6. My secret ambition is to be a voice for a disney character! Especially one that sings, I would just love to do that!
7. I love to read. However, I have to be careful because if I find something that I like, Twilight series, Harry Potter, etc, then I have a really hard time putting it down until I am completely done. So Kyle knows that if I pick up a book to read, I will be out of commission until the last page! I read the Twilight series 3 times, so you can guess what my house looked like after that! I also really like "self-help" books: The Jackrabbit Factor and Hidden Treasures by Leslie Householder, The Secret, etc are my favorites right now. In fact, I loved Leslie Householder's stuff so much that I signed up for an e-course she offers and am loving it.
8. Most embarrassing moment...
I don't know, probably when I was in high school after a dance class. I had gotten changed out of my dance clothes and into my regular clothes quickly and didn't realize that my skirt was tucked into my backpack. And of course no one told me! So I walked across campus and got whistled at and didn't figure out why until I was about to walk into class! Thank heavens for purple underwear!
or
Maybe when I got asked to dance (at a church youth dance) by a guy that thought I was someone else. I didn't have any clue who he was, but he started asking me about how my math test had gone (I just happened to have had one), about how my mom was feeling, etc. I finally had to ask him who he thought that I was and he was shocked to learn that I wasn't "Katie". Anyways, that was more embarrassing for him than me. Those dances were only embarrassing for me when I was 18 and I kept getting asked to dance by the 14 year old boys because I looked so young for my age!
9. 10 years ago...
I was a freshman at BYU. I was dating and then engaged to another guy before calling it off, much to the relief of my family. They (my immediate and extended family) literally cheered when the breakup was announced. (It might have been nice if they would have mentioned they felt this way a little sooner)
10. If I were given a billion dollars...
Well, I am not sure what I would do. I firmly believe that any money that we have is given to us by God and that we are simply the stewards to do his will with it. So, I would first ask for guidance to know what He would have me do with it. I would probably "invest" some of it into the things that Kyle and I have dreamed of getting going. Firstly, Kyle's treatment center. I love what he does for teens in helping them change their lives for the better. I would put money towards building facilities that also target the middle class. Kyle's current facility is a private institution that can really only be afforded by the extremely wealthy, and the poor class has state run facilities, but there isn't much out there that is affordable for the middle class, so I would put those together and use some of the money to help subsidize the tuition for the program. I would also put money into building my company, Radiant Lives and getting all of the products and teaching tools out there that we (the Radiant Lives team) so desperately want to get in the hands of parents and their children. Then I would invest some of the money into getting Kyle's hospital program started. This is a program that would help provide counseling services to families whose loved ones are in the hospital. Lastly, I would definitely go on several trips...to Greece, Italy, all of Europe, New Zealand and several more cruises. I would also buy a cabin, four-wheelers, etc... I don't think that even gets me close to spending the full amount, but it would be lots of fun. Ofcourse, I plan on doing all of these things anyways, just maybe not all at once!
So there you go. That tells you some about me! I would love to hear from Sherri G. next and learn more!

I just had to comment on the hair story. That was awesome and it just reaffirmed your faith that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, no matter how silly they may sound. You could've just talked to him about his hair :), but in a budding relationship that could've backfired too. Thanks for all the fun info to learn more about you!
I have to laugh. I have an almost identical hair story from when I first met Zane, but didn't dare write about it in the post that introduced my family. I loved hearing about your interests, etc. it's fun to see the things you have in common with people and also the differences.
