My Sky-guy

Skyler is absolutely the best! First of all, he is my big helper. At 5 years old he does the dishes, dusts, vacuums, makes his bed and picks up the house...all without complaining!!! He actually asks me to do some of these things and the other day as he was helping me with a few things he told me "I like helping people because I like having friends and making them happy!" Goodness he has the best attitude. He is also a wonderful brother to Ethan. They play so well together all the time.

Skyler has been especially cute about the new baby on the way. He keeps telling me that he is going to be extra careful to not be "rough" around the baby. He atleast a few times a week points out that "the baby sure is growing"...which means that my belly is getting bigger! (Some days I really don't want to hear this, but oh well!) He also asked the other day how the baby was going to come out and I told him that they might have to cut my open again like they did when Ethan was born and he got this extremely concerned look on his face and asked, "will you be ok?"

Skyler is better than any of us at getting Ethan to laugh, and he loves making Ethan laugh!

Since Skyler has been in baseball it has been really cute to watch him. At first he was more interested in playing in the dirt or making his friends on the team laugh then he was actually paying attention to the game. Now he is into the game more and he does a pretty good job. At the last game it was adorable when Skyler was up to bat and he hit the ball right the the pitcher who threw it straight to the first baseman and got him out. Oh boy, was he mad! He gave that first basemen such a glare of absolute "how dare you get me out!" It was hilarious and we had to go and explain to him that that was how the game was played. Then he was fine.

And the other day, while my parents were up visiting, Skyler came running into me saying, "Mom I growed! I really did!" He explained "before I couldn't even reach Ethan's clothes hanging in the closet, but now I can...I totally growed huge!" I started laughing, and rather reluctantly had to show him how Grandpa had been doing some work in their closet and he had just finished lowering Ethan's rod down lower! He just said "Oh, but I really did grow."
I could go on forever! I love that little man so much! I am one lucky mom!
Here are some cute recent pics of Sky!

This was at a friend's birthday party

At the Zoo for a field trip with his Kindergarten class. I got to come and bring Ethan as well.

And this is one of Skyler's incredibly random sleeping positions! He fell asleep watching a movie!

Congratulations on another boy. How exciting. Your house is going to be so busy. Skyler sounds like such a good boy! I love all the thoughts and ideas they have. It is so fun to see the person that they are becoming! Great post!
